Surgical Support Specialist (UK)
My current role is Surgical Support Specialist for the UK, Ireland and South Africa. In simple terms this means I support surgeons with training on Cochlear products, covering both Cochlear and Acoustic Implants. Working for Cochlear for 21 years has given me experience in a wide variety of roles including Sales, Marketing and Research Development. I am lucky to have been able to travel quite extensively for Cochlear and have spent periods of time in Sweden and New York as well as regularly travelling to South Africa running workshops for surgeons there. Working for Cochlear doesn’t feel like a job as we are like one big family. It’s not just the people that work here but the whole Cochlear Community. I am inspired by the fact that we make a difference to people’s lives – we help people hear and be heard and honestly the last 21 years have simply flown by!
I have a teenage son who keeps me extremely active outside of work and we like nothing more than spending the day at the beach with our dog Sprout. I am passionate about horses and used to compete in both show jumping and dressage with my horse Mia. As I’m lucky to live in a lovely village, my ideal Friday would be spending the evening at the local village pub with my friends.
