Our mission is to help people hear and be heard, and one element which underpins that includes bringing meaningful innovations to people who could benefit.
Along with the challenges of the pandemic, an opportunity arose to think differently and offer several new services enabling exceptional remote support to both you, our recipients and you clinician. This included Cochlear™ Remote Check, which is a convenient, at-home testing tool that allows you to complete a hearing review using your compatible Apple or Android device* – without having to travel to the clinic.
With launching such innovative new technology, it was important to us that we checked with recipients who had used the service that it was delivering the user experience we always strive for. We reached out to those who had completed a Remote Check appointment at the beginning of the year and over 100 of you responded to our request for feedback – thank you!
We wanted to know if you felt comfortable completing a hearing appointment at home instead of a visit to your clinic, and 97% of respondents felt very or somewhat confident to complete their hearing check remotely1 and 92% were likely to use it again1.
“Ease and convenience of use, reassuring and extremely straightforward.” – Andrew D
“Doing it from home I’m not tied to a set appointment, and any queries the team [can] contact me” – Daphne R
We have taken onboard all your responses and fed them back directly to the Remote Check development team. We endeavour to deliver services and technology that make your and your clinician’s lives as easy as possible.
9/10 respondents would recommend Remote Check1 to a friend so why not try it for your next routine hearing check? All you need is a Cochlear Nucleus® 7 or Kanso® 2 Sound Processor and the Nucleus Smart App on a compatible mobile device*. Check with your clinician if Remote Check is an option for you.
