Summer 2022
Cochlear Family News
It hardly seems like a year since we celebrated the publication of the World Health Organization’s first dedicated World Report on Hearing. The report has generated publicity and new initiatives around the world. We shine a spotlight on one in particular, called the Achieve Anything Program.
We also share the stories of some inspiring recipients, who devote their free time to supporting others. Read about Yaren, whose almost 900 Instagram followers learn from her experience with a cochlear implant. Discover how Jeff uses a Facebook group to support recipients of bone conduction implants. And immerse yourself in a sensorial animated story, created by a renowned children’s author to celebrate the friendship between two very special girls. (It’s beautiful and definitely not only for the kids!)
This issue also includes articles that highlight the benefits of bimodal hearing solutions, Cochlear™ Remote Check, ForwardFocus in the Nucleus® Smart App, and how listening to music can help with speech perception.
And, finally, if you have a dehumidifier still in its packaging or you are wondering why your rechargeable batteries don’t last as long as they used to, you’ll find articles written with you in mind.
Explore and enjoy this issue.
Happy Summer!
