World Hearing Day 2021

A global call for action to address hearing loss

World Hearing Day (3 March each year) is always a special date for Cochlear Family. Now we are delighted to share the 2021 theme with you:

Hearing care for ALL.

The World Health Organization describes this as “a massive call to action” to raise awareness of the need for screening and treatment. Key messages this year include:

  • Good hearing and communication are important at all stages of life
  • Hearing loss can be addressed with appropriate care
  • People with hearing loss should get help from a health care provider

What’s happening at Cochlear?

As usual, we will be celebrating World Hearing Day so keep an eye out for local announcements.

What can you do?

The World Health Organisation is asking everyone to encourage those who need it to seek help for hearing loss. If you know someone who has untreated hearing loss, encourage them to get a hearing test or to ask their ENT doctor for referral to a specialist hearing implant clinic.

World Hearing Day is a reminder to take action now.
