Big on power. Small in size.

The small and powerful Baha® 6 Max Sound Processor offers unique benefits

Cochlear is proud of its track record of being the first to introduce new technologies and the Cochlear™ Baha® 6 Max Sound Processor is no exception.

A response to your needs

As a premium-power sound processor, Baha 6 Max is the first of its kind. It has the same, small form factor of other premium devices1, but has power output levels of a power device.

The Baha 6 Max design responds to feedback from Baha recipients and the healthcare professionals who support them. Compared to earlier sound processors, the extra power gives you access to a broad and more dynamic range of sounds. A large dynamic range has been shown in a study to improve the ability to understand speech in noise,2 and it also provides capacity should your hearing loss deteriorate over time.  The Baha 6 Max delivers 7dB more average maximum power3-5 even in the same small size as the previous generation.

More power

The biggest difference between this new sound processor and its predecessors is the higher maximum power output (MPO). Recipients told us they needed more power but still wanted a small device. Now you can choose our smallest1 sound processor with a fitting range up to 55dB SNHL, a device truly designed to help you enjoy the sounds around you.

Tuned for high frequencies

Research suggests that an extended bandwidth can improve recognition of high frequency consonants in quiet and in noise6. With this in mind, the Baha 6 Max has a new high-powered Xidium™ platform that delivers a frequency range up to 9.7 kHz.

More direct streaming

Baha 5 users are already familiar with Made for iPhone technology that allows direct streaming from compatible Apple devices. The Baha 6 Max is the first bone conduction device with direct-to-Android™ streaming, meaning that you can now stream music and audio directly from more mobile devices* than ever before.

More control

The new Baha Smart App offers more possibilities to manage and personalise your hearing. It features an expanded three-band equaliser and more possibilities to manage and personalise noise reduction, including the new impulse noise reduction feature. You can even discreetly fine-tune settings from an Apple Watch*.

Where is Baha 6 Max available?

The Baha 6 Max is already available in many countries with more to come. If you haven’t seen them already, watch for local announcements, social media activities and publicity in your own country.

If you already have a Baha 6 Max, we’d love to know what you think and how the new technology has made a difference in your life.

If you are due for a sound processor upgrade, talk to you clinic and ask if you could benefit from the new Baha 6 Max.
