At Cochlear, we are always looking for new ways we can support our recipients across their lifetime. With this in mind, we like to share real stories from recipients about their experiences with their Cochlear™ technology plus practical tips and advice on how to get the most out of their device to live and hear more confidently. We also share tips about device troubleshooting and at-home maintenance, which we know other recipients benefit from.
In our 40th Anniversary year where we are celebrating our recipients, we have an exciting new project coming up; we are looking for recipients and carers to share their experience of being in the Cochlear Family programme, and we’d love to hear from you.
We want to make sure as many people as possible know about Cochlear Family and the benefits they can receive from being part of the world’s largest hearing implant community. Your experience will help us show other recipients what they may be missing out on.

What do I need to do?
In a short home-made video, we’d like you to tell us a little bit about being in Cochlear Family and how you get the support you need to live with a hearing device. You just need a smart phone and the willingness to share your story!

WATCH:
Watch a short 30 second video offering tips for filming with your smartphone to make sure you take the best footage possible. Click here to view.
DO:
1. Use your phone to record yourself answering as many questions you have time for and follow the instructions on how to answer the questions clearly.
2. Upload both your video footage AND your signed Global Appearance Release Form [above]. You will need to print, sign, and then take a photo of the two pages of this form. Please send us these two pictures of your form with your video. Please upload all your files here.
When does the video need to be sent by?
Please send all of your footage together with the signed form to us by no later than 30th July 2021.
What can I expect afterwards?
Once you have made the video and uploaded it, we will review your footage to see how it could be used as part of the final montage. If your video is selected, we will share back with you the final video. We apologise that we may not be able to include everyone’s submission.
