World Hearing Day 2019 Celebrations

To mark World Hearing Day on 3 March 2019, Cochlear hosted one its biggest ever regional celebrations for recipients.  More than 1,000 guests in total came together at Cochlear events hosted in nine cities in Europe and the Middle East for the Cochlear Family Celebration for World Hearing Day.

World Hearing Day is a global initiative by the World Health Organisation (WHO), held on 3 March each year. This year’s theme was Check your hearing! a message that Cochlear™ Recipients share loud and clear. More about World Hearing Day.

You might have picked up on the Cochlear Family Celebration around World Hearing Day because we believe World Hearing Day is something to shout about and we certainly didn’t keep quiet on our social media channels.

Coordinated events centred on helping our recipients make the most of their devices and improve their hearing performance. The events were enormous fun, with entertaining activities, joy, laughter and shared experiences of challenge and personal triumph.

It was such a success that we plan to celebrate again every year.
